We’re thrilled to announce the Reflector Dev Challenge, designed to inspire innovation and practical problem-solving within the Soroban smart contract ecosystem and Stellar. Utilize the power of Reflector oracles in your Soroban contracts and push the boundaries of what you can build with Stellar!
Challenge Details
Objective: Create new Soroban contracts that utilize Reflector oracles innovatively or enhance existing protocols with Reflector price feeds.
Key Dates
Promotional Campaign Period: The challenge starts at 00:00 AM (UTC) on the 5th of June 2024 and ends at 00:00 AM (UTC) on the 19th of June 2024.
Prizes
- First Place: 2,000 USDC on Stellar
- Second Place: 1,000 USDC on Stellar
- Third Place: 500 USDC on Stellar
- Community Choice Award: 500 USDC on Stellar
All winning submissions will also receive a ticket to the Meridian conference, pending confirmation.
Participation Criteria
Eligibility: Open to developers worldwide, ages 18 and up. Participants can compete individually or in teams.
Project Requirements:
- Must use the Reflector oracle.
- Must be relevant to the challenge.
- The contract should be deployed on testnet.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be made through our designated Discord server. Simply make a new forum post under the “Dev Competition” channel.
Participants must submit:
- A link to the public repository hosting the code.
- A video pitch or demonstration of the application.
- A written explanation detailing the application’s functionality, the problem it solves, and how it utilizes Reflector.
- Invoke the contract to demonstrate how it works.
Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility Verification: Reflector will disqualify any entry from participants who do not meet the eligibility requirements as solely determined by Reflector. Additionally, participants from countries on which the United States has imposed sanctions that restrict financial transactions are not eligible to participate in this challenge.
- Award Distribution: Prizes will be paid in USDC to the winners’ Stellar wallets. The USDC will be credited within 90 days after the campaign ends. Participants must ensure that their receiving wallet can accept USDC payments in compliance with their local laws and regulations.
- Notification: Recipients will be notified via email 14 days after the token distribution is completed for confirmation.
- Exchange Rate: The USDC/USD exchange rate used to administer the campaign will be determined at the time of token distribution at the sole discretion of Reflector.
- Intellectual Property: Participants retain IP rights to their creations. However, Reflector has the right to use and showcase projects for promotional purposes.
- Limitation of Liability: Reflector is not liable for any damages, losses, or disappointments that arise from participation in the challenge or as a result of the awarded prizes.
- Data Privacy: Participants agree to the collection and use of their data in accordance with Reflector’s privacy policy, solely for the purpose of this challenge.
- General: Reflector reserves the right to cancel the challenge or amend the challenge mechanics or rules at any time at our sole discretion. Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those pertaining to international sanctions.
