Expanding the Reflector DAO Quorum: Welcoming New Node Providers Lightsail and Creit Tech
Reflector DAO members have voted to include two prominent community-driven organizations, Lightsail and CreitTech, in its quorum of nodes. This DAO-led decision brings the total number of Reflector nodes to seven, further strengthening its commitment to providing trusted and secure price feed data for the Stellar ecosystem.
Meet the New Node Providers
Lightsail: Operated by Overcat, Lightsail is a cornerstone of the Stellar ecosystem. Their extensive contributions include running Stellar validators, maintaining SDKs, supporting hardware wallets, and providing key services like xlm.sh and SorobanRPC.
CreitTech: Led by Earrietadev, Creit Tech is a key player in the Stellar ecosystem. They are behind notable projects like the xBull wallet, Soroban Domains, FXDAO, and Soroban Hub, while also operating Stellar validators to strengthen the network.
Trust Through Decentralization
Reflector oracles rely on a robust multisig-protected consensus mechanism. Each node independently calculates token prices using predefined rules, ensuring consistency. A transaction is valid only when more than half of the nodes in the quorum agree, leveraging Stellar’s security protocol to guarantee reliability and fault tolerance.
By pulling data directly from the Stellar network for on-chain assets and external sources for generic tokens, Reflector ensures accurate and consistent price feeds. Its design supports diverse use cases, from TWAP averaging to cross-price calculations, empowering developers with dependable data.
